MI30 Iris Recognition Module

Binocular Iris Module for Smart Lock & Cabinet Integration

The MI30 is an ultra-compact binocular iris recognition module purpose-built for smart door locks and space-constrained installations. At just 68 x 26 x 23 mm and weighing only 50g, it is one of the smallest full-function iris modules on the market. The dual-camera design captures both eyes simultaneously for faster, more reliable identification in real-world conditions. Connected via FPC ribbon cable, the MI30 integrates directly onto lock PCBs without adding bulk. The PhaseIris 3.0 algorithm provides the same military-grade accuracy as larger modules, with sub-second recognition and a 10⁻⁷ false acceptance rate. Ideal for residential smart locks, secure cabinets, and miniaturized access points where space is at a premium.

Why Choose the MI30

Military-Grade Security

With a false acceptance rate of 10⁻⁷, iris recognition is 100x more accurate than fingerprint and cannot be spoofed with photos or replicas.

Sub-Second Speed

Recognition completes in under one second with 10,000 templates/second comparison throughput, enabling smooth user experience even at scale.

Easy OEM Integration

FPC connector interface with comprehensive SDK, sample code, and technical support. Drop-in module design fits 68 x 26 x 23 mm.

Integration Guide

1

Wiring & Mounting

Connect the MI30 using the 20-pin FPC ribbon cable directly to your lock PCB. The module requires 3.3V DC power at 3.2W max. Refer to the pinout diagram in the SDK package for UART TX/RX, power, and GPIO assignments.

2

SDK & Development

The SDK supports Linux (ARM) and Android platforms optimized for embedded lock controllers. Libraries are provided in C and Java. Sample code covers enrollment, verification, and low-power wake-on-approach integration.

3

Protocol & Communication

Communication uses UART (115200 baud) with a compact binary protocol designed for low-latency embedded use. GPIO lines provide wake, status, and match-result signals for direct MCU integration without software overhead.
